The Bixby Bridge in Big Sur, California, stands as a testament to the magic of human ingenuity – an instantly recognizable landmark where form and function celebrate one another.

It felt only fitting that when we founded BiXBY Design Group in 2024, we chose a name that honored those very same principles that guide our work. Oh, and did we mention it’s also the name of our wonderful and perfect Australian Labradoodle?

At BiXBY, we bridge the space between concept and reality in service of what our clients want most – creating spaces that turn houses into homes.

Every new project begins with a rigorous intake of who you are, where you’ve been, and where you want to go. We take your personality, highlight your interests, incorporate your quirks, integrate your needs, and end up with a space that is intimately connected to the story of your life. Our narrative design approach understands that a house doesn’t become a home until you breathe the life of your experiences into the fabric of its DNA. We don’t do signature styles; we do translate stories into spaces.

Creativity can be chaotic, but that’s exactly where BiXBY thrives. Importing marble from Milan while messaging a local craftsman about a custom rug while on speakerphone with the construction foreman updating demolition schedules might sound crazy to some, but for us, it’s showtime.  We take pride in discovering the story you want your space to tell, and even more pride in our ability to balance all the plates that get the job done.

At BiXBY, we want to know your history, hopes, dreams, and travels because that’s exactly what we use to design the space of you’ve always wanted. We approach every new project with an openness and willingness to listen, learn, and guide you from where you are to where you want to be.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

A man kneeling on the floor installs or measures a door frame in a room, holding a level against the door. The room has one textured wall, a plain wall with a light switch, and a window on the left side.
